Cosmetic Fillers

Wohlman’s Medical Spa, we make it possible for you to achieve a more youthful appearance by offering treatments with a variety of FDA approved cosmetic fillers.  Using an ultra fine needle, small quantities of cosmetic fillers are injected beneath the skin’s surface to enhance the lips, fill in depressed areas which smooths skin imperfections and wrinkles.

Hyaluronic acid is a natural complex sugar found in all living cells.  Injecting this into the layers of your skin adds volume to the spaces between the collagen and elastin fibers that become damaged or lost during the aging process.  Hyaluronic acid’s natural form is a liquid state but through the process of cross-linking; it has been formulated into a variety of gel products.  At Dr. Marla H. Wohlman’s Medical Spa we offer a wide variety of FDA approved hyaluronic acid cosmetic fillers, including:  Volbella®, Voluma®, Vollure®, Radiesse®, Sculptra®, Juvederm Ultra®, Juvederm Ultra Plus® and Restylane®.

Botox® Cosmetic

Botox®, or botulinum toxin, is the most popular way to reduce wrinkles on the face other than undergoing a facelift. This noninvasive procedure can smooth out frown lines, crow’s feet, furrows along the forehead, and skin bands on the neck to help you look more refreshed and less tired or angry.

Performed in a simple, quick, in-office procedure, injections of Botox® Cosmetic block the nerve signals that make your muscles contract. This temporarily relaxes the muscles and thereby smooths out your unwanted facial wrinkles.

XEOMIN®

XEOMIN® is a new option for injectable wrinkle treatment. As the latest botulinum toxin product on the market, XEOMIN® provides an alternative to treatments with Botox® Cosmetic and Dysport®. At Marla H. Wohlman, M.D. we can use XEOMIN® as indicated for the treatment of glabellar frown lines. With a simple injection, XEOMIN® can reduce the appearance of your frown lines for several months. In addition to FDA clearance in the United States, the treatment (marketed under the name BOCOUTURE®) is approved for medical use in 14 countries, including Germany, the UK, France, Italy and Spain.
